PageTurners
What is PageTurners? PageTurners is a literature-based competition for students in grades 3-12. Two teams of up to six students prepare to answer questions by reading the books on the Official List of Titles. Teams compete in a round robin format with nearby schools, and division winners advance to a regional competition.
Students participating in PageTurners may read up to 20 books each semester, or be a master of a few books. Audiobooks and iPods are available through Media Library CoSer at Genesee Valley Educational Partnership. Teams are encouraged to participate in writing questions for competitions.
The purpose of the competition is to encourage and reward reading skills and to provide recognition to students for their accomplishments in reading.
